Ratti Gali Lake Tour Packages 2026

Ratti Gali Lake is a beautiful and famous lake in the Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir. The lake is 12,130 feet (3,697 meters) above sea level and is solely a 19-kilometer (12-mile) long track. Later, there is a hiking trek full of stunning and thrilling sights. The drive from Rawalpindi to Ratti Gali Lake is about 150km one way. Additionally, Ratti Gali Lake, located in Lahore, is 650km away.

The lake is serene and beautiful. We visited around 12 p.m. and found the area relatively uncrowded. The base camp has great chefs who prepare delicious meals for you after your hike (don’t forget to place your order before you leave, as cooking can be time-consuming at high altitudes). The base camp also provides a makeshift public toilet, but it has only cold water.

The hike is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever experienced! It takes around 2 to 3 hours. The hike back down is relatively easy and is better done on foot rather than by horse, as it can get steep in some places.

The 4-hour jeep ride will take you to the base camp. From there, you have the option to take a horse ride to the lake or trek on foot.

Hiking Trail from Ratti Gali Base Camp

The hike was one of the most beautiful ever done! It takes about 2-3 hours. The lake is clean and peaceful. At the top, you can enjoy boiled eggs and delicious Qahwa (Pakistani green tea). The hike back down is pretty easy, and better to walk than to take horses since it gets steep in some places.

The lake is fed by streams from neighboring glaciers and melting snow from nearby mountains. The trip to Ratti Gali Lake is accessible from Dowarian via a bank and an unpaved jeep track.

Ratti Gali Lake Jeep Adventures

To reach the Ratti Gali base camp, we had to go off-roading for 4 hours in 4×4 jeeps from Kel. We used a Pajero (8 to 10 people can sit), which was very comfortable and cost you Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 15,000. The road was the worst seen in all of Kashmir! The views are amazing and keep you entertained.

There are many beautiful lakes in Azad Kashmir, but Ratti Gali in the Neelum Valley has the most beautiful landscape. During the summer, tourists enjoy visiting the green fields and valleys near the lake. However, the winter season makes the Ratti Gali adventure even more adventurous, as snow falls and it is very cold. Local transport services and Jeeps are available to tourists to explore the lake and its surroundings.

Ratti Gali Lake Camping Packages

You can borrow a trekking stick for a small fee. If you prefer not to hike, you can hire a horse! I paid 500 PKR one-way and 1000 PKR round-trip in September. Some people chose to camp overnight at the base camp, costing Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2500 (3 – 4 persons), but we didn’t stay because the weather was windy and cold, with rain expected.

Visitors can spend a safe night at the best and most reputable accommodation at Ratti Gali Lake Base Camp. You can camp there and arrange bonfires for romantic nights by the lake. Additionally, I recommend visiting the most beautiful spot at Ratti Gali base camp, where you can enjoy a wonderful time by the shores of Ratti Gali Lake. Murree to Ratti Gali Lake is about 300 km one way. Check the Weather at Ratti Gali Lake before the visit.

Ratti Gali Lake Tours Plan:

We have a cheap Family Travel and Vacation Package for Ratti Gali Lake Azad Kashmir. We have an experienced team or tour trip travel guide for Ratti Gali Lake. Ratti Gali Lake holiday packages are available from Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. If you want a private tour of Ratti Gali Lake, fill out this form by clicking Make My Trip.

The lake is calm and beautiful. We visited around noon and found very few people there. The base camp has great chefs who prepare tasty meals after your hike. Remember to order your food before you leave for the hike, as cooking takes time at high altitudes. The base camp also has a clean public toilet, but it only has cold water.
