Ansoo Lake, Kaghan Valley, is a high-altitude lake (rising 16,492 feet or 5,027 meters) in the Naran Kaghan Valley in the Mansehra District of the KPK area of Pakistan. Ansoo Lake Location and Story

The beautiful Ansoo Lake is at an elevation of 13,940 feet above sea level. Two different routes can reach this Lake. The first one is a short but steep trek from Saiful Mulook Lake. It takes 7-8 hours round-trip to Ansoo Lake, starting from Lake Saiful Mulook.

The trek is covered with snow in most parts of the year. The best time to trek is from July to August. The optimal time to set off for the Lake from Saiful Mulook is around 06:00 in the morning, to return before sunset. Horses and guides can also be hired from Lake Saif ul Mulook. The other route is from Manoor Valley.

How to reach?

To reach the summit at 14000 feet, where Lake is visible, it takes about 20 minutes. In addition to horseback riding, you can hire a guide to take you to Ansoo Lake from Lake Saif ul Muluk. There is no room for any other horse to ride with them.

You may travel on public transport to Naran & hike up to Saif-ul-Malook, avoiding jeep rides. Aanso Lake doesn’t require a jeep, since there is no trek, but it does take a lot of time. You would have to spend a night at the base camp of Aanso Lake, which is right across Saif-ul-Malook from Aanso Lake.

Moreover, it takes more than 12 hours for a round trip to Ansuu Lake starting from Lake Saiful Mulook. In addition, the best time to trek is from July 10 to August 15. The ideal time to embark on the Lake from Saiful Mulook is around 06:00 at the beginning of the day.
