The Kachora Tso Lakes (Urdu: کچورہ جھیل) consist of three bodies of water located in the Skardu District of Gilgit-Baltistan, in northern Pakistan. Positioned at an elevation of 2,500 meters (8,200 ft), the lakes include Foroq Tso (Upper Kachura Lake) and Lower Kachura Lake. The latter, known as Shangrila Lake, is part of a tourist resort called Shangrila Resort, situated just outside the town of Skardu. A third lake, Zambakha Tso (Lake), is found in the small village of Zambakha, which is near Shangri-la. These lakes are located within the Karakoram mountain range of the western Himalayas, in the broader Baltistan Region, and are part of the Indus River basin.
