The accommodation is generally comfortable, although the rooms are small. The bathrooms are basic, and hot water is available upon request. The service is efficient, and the staff can prepare a variety of basic meals, including chicken, biryani, lentils, and vegetables. Fairy Meadows Cottages offers a home-like experience with excellent hospitality. The people are friendly and accommodating. You need to hire a jeep from Raikot Bridge to the jeep stop, which takes about one and a half hours. A two-hour trek on foot then led me to the cottages.
Now functional, Fairy Meadows Cottages at Bunar Das is just a 30-minute drive from Chilas and situated before Raikot Bridge. It features lovely hospitality from the management, with 20 beautiful rooms. It’s an ideal location for travelers, located on the way from Islamabad or Naran to Gilgit-Baltistan.
Situated peacefully along the Karakoram Highway at Buner Das, it is perfect for an overnight stay if you are traveling to Fairy Meadows, Astore, Gilgit, or Skardu. Lunch is also available upon request. Additionally, Zong and SCOM networks work perfectly at this location.
