Bathala is an island in the Maldives, located in the north Ari Atoll eastern side, close to the outer atoll barrier. The island, home to the Sandies Bathala resort, is situated in a privileged position, its waters boast a remarkable richness and variety of fish species. 14 Beach Bungalows are situated right on the sand, just steps away from the lagoon. Bright white interiors contrast with tropical colour accents, and all feature a king size bed, alcoved daybed, outdoor bathroom with rain shower, and a decked terrace with loungers and dining area.
Similar to our Beach Villas, but with a few added extras. A fully-furnished sun deck, a private cabana boasts a relaxing Maldivian swing overlooking the lagoon. An indulgent bathroom is set in its own outdoor courtyard, and all villas enjoy prime positions right on the beach.
Only six Aqua Villas can be found on the jetty, and with infinity plunge pools, overwater hammocks and large outdoor decks with steps straight down to the lagoon, it’s easy to see why they’re so popular. Sliding glass doors flood the interiors with natural light and ocean breezes, and bathrooms feature freestanding tubs and a separate shower.
Perched above the lagoon, with a swim up platform for underwater adventures, our Reef Villas offer countless ways to relax. Out on the deck you’ll find loungers and plenty of space for dining, plus your own private jet tub to take in the views. A king size bedroom leads to a pampering bathroom, boasting a separate tub and rain shower.
These signature villas are amongst the most covetable accommodations on the island, and all feature large private pools and extended outdoor spaces – complete with a Maldivian swing for long lazy afternoons by the beach.
